Various executives in the Executive Education long programs graduated at Strathmore Business School on Friday 7th December 2012. The graduation which was themed, Great Africans Transforming Africa, saw the transformation of more than 80 executives from participants into SBS alumni members.
The graduates were from the Advanced Management Program, Program for Management Development, Executive Healthcare Management Program, Owner Manager Program and Senior Management Leadership Program.
The ceremony began with opening remarks from the Vice Dean of Executive Talent Development, Patricia Murugami who welcomed the guests and was followed by Betty Ngala, alumni manager, who introduced the graduates to the SBS Alumni Association and spoke on the importance of the association. Dr. George Njenga, Dean SBS urged the graduates to be outstanding leaders from his speech on transformational leadership. Each of the class presidents echoed a unison tune by sharing their gratitude to their fellow class participants and SBS. They recalled warm memories of their time during the programs and the various case studies they discussed in groups. It was evident that the programs had transformed their professional and personal lives as they each spoke of living a more balanced life. They encouraged each other to apply the key learnings from their respective programs into their lives.
