Key areas of focus:

Dr. Monica Kerretts-Makau focuses on Governance and Public Policy with a focus on Institutional governance Management. She has worked with Governments, and private sector institutions on policy implementation with a focus on leadership and management orientation in the private and public sector. She has also Facilitated several training programs aimed at organizational development and people and change management in both private and public sector institutions. Dr. Kerretts is also passionate about the use of ICT for Development and has served as Board Director for the Kenyan Regulator (CAK) and has worked with the World Bank as a consultant on Policy and Regulatory frameworks for the ICT sector.

• MSc full time study in Business Management, Salford University, Manchester, UK

• BA Cum Laude Honors in Communications, Minor in Business Economics – Daystar University, Kenya

• Technical Strategy and Change Management Advisor – Justice Sector Reform Program UNODC working with the National Police Reform Program – Kenya (Current- Ongoing)

• Technical Change Management Advisor – GIZ Good Governance Program working for the Government of Kenya – The Kenyan Judiciary (2012/2013 )

• Senior Faculty Strathmore Business School – Core modules – Public Policy and Change Management

• World Bank Consultant:

• Government of Botswana – Core work: Policy and strategy in regulatory sector (2010 to 2014)

• Government of Somalia – Core work: Public Policy Governance – Regulatory Sector (2014 to date)
