Dr. Ben Ngoye has returned to the SBS family after a four- year study break during which he studied for and was awarded a PhD in Management Sciences by ESADE Business School of the Universitat Ramon Llull in Spain. His thesis titled ‘An Institutional Logics Perspective on the Implementation of Performance Measurement Systems in the Public Sector’ was a compendium of three articles all of which have been published in highly-regarded peer reviewed journals. Dr. Ngoye will be rejoining the Institute of Healthcare Management as faculty.
Recently he has been engaged in the technical backstopping and quality assurance of diverse national level technical assistance and capacity building assignments in health and HIV and AIDS. He is a holder of a Masters Degree in Public Health, and a Masters degree in Organizational Development. Dr Ngoye has a good understanding of HIV/AIDS and other diseases of public health importance in Eastern Africa, of Health Systems and NGO Management, and of the health-related socio-politico-economic issues of the wider Eastern and Central Africa by virtue of having worked in and supported government and civil society institutions in the region.
