Doug Devillars has over 20 years international business and marketing experience, Doug has travelled the world extensively living and working in Sri Lanka and Switzerland as a Vice President of the then Holderbank company.
With multiple projects and secondments with both Deloitte Consulting and McKinsey, he has experience across Europe, the USA, Canada, Africa, Australia, India and the sub-continent. He also consulted into South America including Equador, Colombia & Chile.
Currently Doug is a partner and Group Chief Executive of the Interbrand Sampson de Villiers Group in Africa with offices in Johannesburg, Lagos and Nairobi.
Doug has an academic background in economics, industrial psychology and business (BBA, MBA, CMM, CPMM). He is recognised as a Chartered Marketer, CM(SA) and holds an executive Fellowship at Strathmore Business School where he regularly contributes as an executive education lecturer. A regular speaker at universities as well as local and international branding and marketing events, he has authored multiple papers on brands and wrote the chapter on country branding in the leading Africa business book “Business in Africa” (Penguin 2011).’
