Alumni Connect

  Mar 30, 2012

The AlumniConnect, a series of events which aim at reuniting SBS alumni and sharing knowledge saw the reunion of Leading High-Performing Healthcare Organisations (LeHHO), Owner Manager Program (OMP) and Real Estate Executive Program (REEP) participants in separate events at the new SBS campus. LeHHO alumni reunited during the official launch of the alumni events where they were prompted to revolutionize healthcare leadership in Kenya. During the launch, the alumni were challenged to improve the healthcare system such that every citizen will one day be able to access affordable healthcare.

The alumni elected an alumni secretariat body which will oversee the activites of the alumni. LeHHO, held in conjunction with Management Sciences for Health (MSH) and through funding from USAID, is designed for the healthcare leaders of the region and is geared towards improving healthcare delivery – a key criterion of economic development.

Each alumnus was presented with a lapel pin so as to be identified as a LeHHO alumnus.

Similarly, the Owner Manager Program alumni also reunited to a key note session on the entrepreneurial process by Prof. Heinrich Liechtenstein, an associate professor from IESE Business School, Spain. The alumni were also introduced to an overview of Private Equity and Venture Capital in Africa by Batian Fund. The alumni were introduced to plans to roll out the Centre for Family Businesses which will enable the family owned businesses succeed through generations.

Real Estate Executive Program alumni congregated at the business school to interact and discuss issues on real estate. The event which was sponsored by Housing Finance had a key note session on Partnership in Leadership and Is Africa Ready.
