Dr. Robert Mudida, Academic Director of the MBA programs, represented SBS in an inaugural week-long conference, which focused on pressing issues at the developmental front in the world. The Development week is carefully design to specifically shed light on various dynamic and evolving issues on the developmental fronts, particularly in the scope of economic, health, education, democracy, conflicts and other region specific topics.

The Development Week, held from 28th May to 8th June in The University of Navarra (IESE Business School’s parent University ), was aimed at providing graduate students with an exciting opportunity to deepen their own expertise by enhancing their knowledge in the area.



About Dr. Robert Mudida


Dr. Mudida Senior lecturer at Strathmore Business School and has considerable lecturing experience in the areas of economics, financial management, international finance and general management. He holds a doctorate from the University of Nairobi.

He possesses an MSc in Financial Economics from the University of London, School of Oriental and African Studies and an MA in international studies from the University of Nairobi. He has worked for several international organisations including having been the head of the commercial section of the Embassy of Chile in Kenya and an administrative officer with the Embassy of Spain in Nairobi for several years.

He has published widely in his areas of research interest which include international economics, financial economics, institutional economics, the economics of development and the economics of conflict. He has also carried out numerous international consultancy assignments.
