On Tuesday, 30th May 2023, USAID’s Kenya Small Business Development Centers (Kenya SBDC) Program signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the County Government of Makueni to strengthen Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
The MOU will foresee the two parties working together to empower MSMEs to achieve social-economic transformation and sustainable economic impact.
Makueni County is one of the counties implementing the Kenya SBDC model, having set up a center in Makueni Persons with Disabilities (PWD) to ensure the inclusion of entrepreneurs with disabilities. Since the center’s operation, it has worked with the county government to ensure all the services offered are localized to meet the needs of MSMEs in the county.
