Between August 14th and 18th, 2023, participants from the Senior Management Leadership Programme (SMLP) class of 2023 embarked on an insightful journey to Nanyang Business School in Singapore for their international module.
The international module is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of global trends, innovative practices, challenges, and effective leadership strategies during periods of both growth and turbulence. This year’s module placed a special focus on the rising significance of Asian business in relation to the African continent.
Throughout the week-long module, participants had the privilege to interact closely with prominent international faculty members from the Executive Centre at Nanyang Business School, Singapore. The module’s curriculum spanned a wide range of topics, encompassing global macroeconomic trends, insights into consumer behaviors in the Asian market, negotiation skills across cultural boundaries, and the art of nurturing and expanding business ventures. A particularly noteworthy session centered on grasping the principles of Sun Zi Bingfa, a historic framework for strategic leadership that embodies the Asian approach.
These enlightening sessions were diverse in format, featuring engaging one-on-one interactions, dynamic group discussions, and stimulating negotiation simulations orchestrated by the participants themselves. Such interactive formats provided an immersive learning experience that allowed participants to apply theoretical concepts to real-world scenarios.
The Senior Management Leadership Programme provides an exceptional platform for transformative learning experiences.
