Developing Great African Leaders, The Strathmore University Way

On Friday, 14th April 2023, we graduated more than 160 Strathmore University staff members from the Strathmore University Leadership Academy.

The participants were graduating after successful completion of the

• Personal Leadership Programme (PLP),
• Leadership Acceleration Programme (LEAP) and the
• Programme for Executive Development (PED)

Speaking during the graduation ceremony, Dr. Vincent Ogutu, the Vice Chancellor, Strathmore University urged the new graduates to put into practice their learnings and be in the frontline of taking the Strathmore University way to the world. “Be exemplary to the point where others want to learn from you,” he said.

Dr. Caesar Mwangi, Executive Dean, Strathmore University Business School, emphasized the importance of life-long learning and continuous self-improvement. “We are here to transform society and to do this, we need not only understand the content learnt from these programmes but also how to apply it to make the society a better place,”Dr Mwangi emphasized.

The Strathmore Leadership Academy is the arm of the University that handles training and development and ensures that the university is constantly developing great African leaders who are prepared to lead. Congratulations to the newest Strathmore University Graduates.
