A New Beginning: Strathmore University Class of 2023 Graduates with a Vision for Change

Congratulations to the Class of 2023 from Strathmore University on their graduation! It is indeed a significant milestone that marks the end of one chapter and the beginning of a new journey filled with possibilities.

The graduation ceremony saw the culmination of years of hard work and dedication by 419 students from the Bachelor of Commerce Programme, along with an additional 115 graduates from various Masters Programmes and two Doctoral Degrees from the Strathmore University Business School (SBS). This diverse group of graduates has acquired valuable knowledge and skills during their time at the university, preparing them for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

During his address, Dr. Vincent Ogutu, Vice Chancellor of Strathmore University, borrowed from the university theme of the year; Sustainability: Caring for People and Planet and urged the new graduates to embrace their responsibility in taking care of both people and the planet. He further emphasized the need to work towards a sustainable future for all as they recognize the power they now possess to make a real difference in the world. ”

Simon Bakibinga, the Valedictorian and a graduate of the Bachelor of Business Science in Actuarial Science degree, congratulated his fellow classmates on their remarkable achievements. He acknowledged the transformative journey they have all undertaken during their time at Strathmore University and spoke of the endless possibilities that lie ahead for each graduate. “As the Class of 2023, you now hold the potential to create a positive impact in the world. Armed with the knowledge, skills, and experiences gained from your education, you contribute to its betterment,” Simon added.
