Starting in July 2025, the 18-month Graduate Trainee Programme will initially focus on top-performing students in the Bachelor of Supply Chain and Operations Management (BSCM) Programme, specifically those graduating with First Class Honours and strong Second Upper classifications. This initiative reflects a shared commitment to bridging academia and industry through practical, purpose-driven learning.
But the partnership goes beyond graduate training. It is a comprehensive collaboration that will include:
Internships and attachments with the aim of creating real-world work experiences that pave the way for full-time employment for the Supply Chain students.
Industry immersion visits. These industry visits will allow BSCM students to engage directly with logistics operations and gain firsthand insights.
Roundtable discussions will enable students and faculty to interface with industry leaders on current trends and challenges.
Career fairs and opportunity talks with Africa Global Logistics (AGL) offering thought leadership and guidance to help students navigate their career paths.
This partnership marks a significant step toward developing industry-ready graduates, aligning academic excellence with the evolving needs of global logistics and supply chain sectors.
As we deepen our industry collaborations, SBS remains committed to providing our students with transformative opportunities, setting them on course for impactful careers in Africa and beyond.
The Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain and Operations Management at Strathmore Business School is a rigorous four‑year programme that integrates core supply chain and logistics principles with cutting‑edge digital technologies—spanning production, procurement, inventory management, transportation, quality management, lean systems, and information systems implementation—to prepare students for complex, uncertain business environments. Emphasizing big data analytics, blockchain, automation, and artificial intelligence, the programme combines classroom learning with industry visits, internships, and real‑world case studies—supported by the Kühne Foundation—to ensure graduates develop practical skills and strategic insight.
