Introduction

Jani SBL (Service-Based Learning) Edition is more than just a program. It’s a chance for Strathmore University students to step outside the classroom and make a real difference in young people’s lives.

Here’s how it works: as a Strathmore student, you apply to be part of Jani SBL. Once you’re accepted, you’ll choose a school where you’d like to mentor. Don’t worry, you’re not on your own. The PFD (Programme for Family Development) team is there every step of the way. They’ll train you, support you, and give you all the tools you need to become a great mentor to primary or high school students.

It’s a hands-on way to build your leadership skills, connect with the community, and put your values into action. Throughout the journey, PFD will guide and evaluate your growth and share that with the university as part of your learning experience.
