Earlier this month, Strathmore Global Institute (SGI) Tanzania officially entered a strategic partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Africa Research Institute for AI (ARIFA).
The partnership marks the beginning of a transformative collaboration designed to connect cutting-edge artificial intelligence research with world-class leadership development, positioning professionals and organisations in Tanzania to thrive in an increasingly digital and innovation-driven future.
The signing ceremony was led by Anthony Kahindi, University Secretary, Strathmore University and Board Member, SGI-Tanzania, who headed the Strathmore delegation during the engagement. The agreement reflects a shared commitment to strengthening future-ready leadership capacity and expanding access to high-impact, innovation-led learning opportunities across the region.
As industries across Africa continue to experience rapid technological disruption, institutions are being called upon to develop leaders who can navigate complexity, embrace change, and drive sustainable growth. This partnership responds directly to that need by creating new opportunities for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and executive development.
Through this collaboration, SGI Tanzania and ARIFA will explore areas of joint engagement that bring together AI research, professional training, executive education, and thought leadership. The partnership is expected to create practical learning pathways that empower leaders to make informed, strategic, and ethical decisions in the digital age.
