Strengthening the WASH sector in Kenya is crucial for improving public health, promoting economic development,advancing gender equality, ensuring environmental sustainability and enhancing disaster resilience.
On Tuesday, 11th April 2023, Strathmore University Business School, through the Water Governance and Innovation Hub, signed a partnership agreement with the Water Services Providers Association (WASPA). The partnership will see the two parties partner in research and capacity building of water services providers. There is a need to conceptualize a synergy process between the private, government and academic institutions to mitigate the issues in water and sanitation in Kenya.
The Water Governance and Innovation Hub at Strathmore University was set up to solve two issues in the Kenyan WASH sector; bridge the gap of academic research in this area and to provide capacity building Programmes for all water and sanitation practitioners.
