Strathmore University Business School Alumna Appointed CEO and Executive Director of WPP Scangroup Plc

Strathmore University Business School congratulates Patricia Ithau on her recent appointment as CEO and Executive Director of WPP Scangroup Plc, which takes effect on 14 March 2022.

Patricia is a highly accomplished business leader with over 25 years’ experience in senior leadership and management roles. She has previously worked with major consumer brands in East Africa such as Unilever, East African Breweries Ltd and L’Oréal. She is currently the Regional Director for East Africa at the Stanford Institute for Innovation in Developing Economies, Seed.

She sits on the boards of ABSA Bank Kenya, Jambojet Limited, the British Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Vivo Activewear Ltd and is a trustee on M-Pesa Foundation and Vodafone Foundation UK boards. She was also part of the WPP Scangroup Plc board as a Non- Executive Director between 2017 and 2020.

Patricia holds an MBA in Strategic Management from the United States International University – Africa (USIU), and a Bachelors of Commerce Degree from the University of Nairobi. She is also an alumna of the Advanced Management Programme, Class of 2007, which is offered by Strathmore University Business School in partnership with IESE Business School, Barcelona, Spain.
