Strathmore Africa Case Center (SACC) Appoints Dr. Lucy Muthoni as Editorial Board Chair

Towards the end of the year, the Strathmore Africa Case Center convened its inaugural editorial board meeting, culminating in the appointment of Dr. Lucy Muthoni as the Editorial Board Chair.

Dr. Muthoni, who holds a PhD in Mathematics (Mathematical Finance), has a robust background in Actuarial Science and risk management. With over 15 years of experience, she has taught and applied mathematical principles to solve complex multi-sectoral problems in various countries, including the United States, where she is currently serving as a Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence at the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in the Department of Mathematics. Additionally, Dr. Muthoni has been working with the Kenyan Commission for Revenue Allocation (CRA) as an academic technocrat since 2016.
Further, Dr. Muthoni’s expertise has seen her provide advisory services in several countries, including the United States, South Africa, Ghana, Namibia, and Botswana. Her work has addressed a wide range of issues within her fields of specialization, enhancing both policy formulation and practical implementation. In addition to her consultancy roles, she has collaborated with Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) to develop innovative solutions to pressing socio-economic challenges.

Dr. Lucy Muthoni’s appointment as the Editorial Board Chair of the Strathmore Africa Case Center underscores Strathmore University Business School’s commitment to academic excellence, impactful research, and innovative solutions. Her extensive experience and dedication to addressing societal challenges through mathematical and financial expertise position her to steer the Center towards greater achievements.
