Between 24th October and 1st November 2022, students pursuing the Bachelor of Commerce Programme (BCOM) and the Bachelor of Financial Services (BFS) at Strathmore University Business School visited the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management for their international trip.

The international trip aimed to expose the students to the German banking and financial industry along with the general European business landscape. During the trip, the students got to interact with students and faculty members from the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management with class sessions ranging from the banking landscape in Germany, new business models in banking, bitcoin systems and German culture.

“The trip was exciting and enlightening. I came to appreciate the essence of the East African Community (EAC) in regional development and economy building, the beauty of environmental stewardship and efficiency in systems,”one of the students noted.

Apart from the class sessions, the students toured various parts of Frankfurt; a 300-year-old church, building remains of the early Frankfurt town during the Roman era, the Geld Museum Bank, Solsa Winery and boat rides.

The trip culminated in a guest speaker lecture and awarding certificates by Mr. Andreas Emser and the Frankfurt school team.
