Last week, Strathmore University Business School (SBS) hosted the annual Graduate Programme Director’s Baraza, bringing together Master’s students, academic directors, and programme managers from all six Master’s programmes.
Connecting Students and Leaders
The Director’s Baraza provides a unique opportunity for students to network with academic leaders, share insights, and discuss key topics related to their studies. It’s a chance for students to reflect on their academic journey, learn from each other, and explore potential areas for collaboration.
Exchange of Ideas
This year’s event was an excellent platform for students to share their experiences and discuss the challenges they face in their studies. The informal setting encouraged open conversations about academic growth, career aspirations, and future opportunities. Students also gained insights into how they can work together across programmes to solve real-world problems.
Building Future Connections
The Baraza wasn’t just about looking back at academic progress—it was also about looking forward. The event highlighted opportunities for collaboration, both within SBS and with external partners. Students left with a greater understanding of how their programmes can help them impact their industries and communities.
Conclusion: Strengthening the SBS Community
The Director’s Baraza is a valuable event that strengthens the SBS community by fostering collaboration and providing students with a space to connect and learn. It reaffirms our commitment to helping students develop both academically and professionally, preparing them for leadership roles in their fields.
