On Friday, 4th February 2023, we hosted a gala dinner for the Bachelor of Commerce – fourth-year students in an event, filled with glitz and glamour. The dinner brought together students of the Bachelor of Commerce Programme, class of 2022, to celebrate their time at Strathmore.
The event also allowed the students to share their different experiences over the four years as well. They also got a chance to appreciate their faculty members for their many lessons, teachings, support and guidance. Dr. Erastus Mibithi and Dr. Kuthea Nguti were voted the most favourite male and female lecturers respectively.
In his remarks, the guest speaker, Joseph Choge, Managing Director, Unga Holding Limited urged the students to enjoy themselves since they had worked very hard to get to where they are. He further encouraged them to work towards making the world a better place through the work they do.
The Bachelor of Commerce (BCOM) Degree Programme is designed for students wishing to gain a degree qualification to maximise their career options. The course is structured into a series of modules designed to focus specifically on the core functions of management.
It prepares students to work in finance, accountancy, banking, micro-finance, administration, marketing and other related fields. The March intake for the Bachelor of Commerce Programme is ongoing.
