Small and Medium Enterprises Business Plan Competition 2019

Introduction

Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) are important drivers of growth, innovation and employment in most of Africa. They represent over 80% of businesses in Kenya and employ about 75% of the active working population. Supporting SMEs through access to finance is a top priority for the EIB Group, while Strathmore University supports them through capacity building.

The Business Plan Competition is intended to achieve these two key aims of these institutions. Strathmore University Business School (SBS) and the European Investment Bank (EIB) have partnered to run the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) 2019 Business Plan Competition.
