    Les syst\u00e8mes alimentaires du Kenya sont \u00e0 la crois\u00e9e des chemins sous les pressions combin\u00e9es du changement climatique, de la perte de biodiversit\u00e9, des d\u00e9fis persistants en mati\u00e8re de nutrition et de l'aggravation des in\u00e9galit\u00e9s \u00e9conomiques. Ces crises crois\u00e9es ne sont pas isol\u00e9es ; elles sont profond\u00e9ment interconnect\u00e9es et influencent la mani\u00e8re dont la nourriture est produite, distribu\u00e9e, consomm\u00e9e et valoris\u00e9e dans tout le pays.<\/p>\n

    Alors que les preuves continuent d'\u00e9merger sur les voies durables et positives pour la nature, une v\u00e9rit\u00e9 reste claire : la recherche seule ne suffit pas. Les donn\u00e9es, aussi solides soient-elles, ne peuvent influencer les syst\u00e8mes si elles restent confin\u00e9es dans des rapports et des documents techniques. Le pont entre les donn\u00e9es et l'action est la communication.<\/p>\n

    La narration strat\u00e9gique, l'engagement des m\u00e9dias et les r\u00e9cits fond\u00e9s sur des donn\u00e9es jouent un r\u00f4le d\u00e9cisif pour garantir que les connaissances scientifiques \u00e9clairent la politique, fa\u00e7onnent le discours public et entra\u00eenent des changements de comportement significatifs. Il est essentiel de traduire la science complexe des syst\u00e8mes alimentaires en messages clairs, compr\u00e9hensibles et exploitables si l'on veut que les agriculteurs, les d\u00e9cideurs, les entreprises et les citoyens prennent des d\u00e9cisions en connaissance de cause. La communication n'est donc pas un \u00e9l\u00e9ment p\u00e9riph\u00e9rique de la r\u00e9forme des syst\u00e8mes alimentaires, elle en est l'\u00e9l\u00e9ment central.<\/p>\n

    Entre 23rd<\/sup> et 25th<\/sup> f\u00e9vrier 2026, le projet TEEBAgriFood Kenya a con\u00e7u un programme de formation \u00e0 la communication visant \u00e0 renforcer les rapports environnementaux et \u00e0 int\u00e9grer les principes de la comptabilit\u00e9 en valeur r\u00e9elle (CVR) dans le discours sur les syst\u00e8mes alimentaires. Cette initiative a \u00e9t\u00e9 motiv\u00e9e par la reconnaissance du fait que les m\u00e9dias ainsi que les \u00e9quipes de communication au niveau du comt\u00e9 et au niveau national sont des acteurs puissants dans l'\u00e9laboration des conversations nationales sur la durabilit\u00e9 et le d\u00e9veloppement.<\/p>\n

    Le programme de trois jours a rassembl\u00e9 des journalistes, des \u00e9quipes de communication du minist\u00e8re de la sant\u00e9, du minist\u00e8re de l'agriculture et du d\u00e9veloppement du b\u00e9tail, et des gouvernements des comt\u00e9s participant au projet TEEBAgriFood Kenya. Cette approche intersectorielle a mis en \u00e9vidence un message cl\u00e9 : la transformation des syst\u00e8mes alimentaires n\u00e9cessite des r\u00e9cits coordonn\u00e9s entre les institutions et les niveaux de gouvernance.<\/p>\n

    La formation s'est concentr\u00e9e sur le renforcement du r\u00f4le des m\u00e9dias et de la communication strat\u00e9gique dans la promotion de la comptabilit\u00e9 de la valeur r\u00e9elle au sein des syst\u00e8mes alimentaires. Les participants ont \u00e9tudi\u00e9 la mani\u00e8re de communiquer les v\u00e9ritables co\u00fbts et avantages environnementaux, sociaux et \u00e9conomiques li\u00e9s \u00e0 la nourriture que nous produisons et consommons. En d\u00e9voilant ces valeurs cach\u00e9es, le programme a cherch\u00e9 \u00e0 recadrer la fa\u00e7on dont les syst\u00e8mes alimentaires sont compris et rapport\u00e9s.<\/p>\n

    Les sessions ont permis de traduire des donn\u00e9es environnementales et \u00e9conomiques complexes en r\u00e9cits convaincants et accessibles. Les participants ont examin\u00e9 les liens complexes entre les syst\u00e8mes alimentaires, les r\u00e9sultats nutritionnels et la durabilit\u00e9 environnementale, en soulignant comment le reportage peut \u00e9clairer ces interd\u00e9pendances pour un public plus large. Les \u00e9l\u00e9ments pratiques comprenaient des approches du journalisme de donn\u00e9es, du reportage environnemental et de la narration \u00e9conomique, dotant les participants d'outils pour aller au-del\u00e0 de la couverture superficielle vers un engagement analytique plus approfondi.<\/p>\n

    Au fond, le programme a renforc\u00e9 un principe fondamental : une communication efficace ne consiste pas simplement \u00e0 raconter des histoires. Il s'agit de fa\u00e7onner les d\u00e9cisions qui influencent les gens, les politiques et la plan\u00e8te. Dans le contexte de l'\u00e9volution des syst\u00e8mes alimentaires au Kenya, la communication devient un levier pour la responsabilisation, l'\u00e9laboration de politiques \u00e9clair\u00e9es et la transformation des comportements.<\/p>\n

    Alors que le pays navigue sur le terrain complexe de la durabilit\u00e9, de l'\u00e9quit\u00e9 et de la r\u00e9silience, le renforcement des capacit\u00e9s des professionnels des m\u00e9dias et de la communication est un investissement dans le changement syst\u00e9mique. Lorsque la science est communiqu\u00e9e de mani\u00e8re claire et responsable, elle permet d'agir. Et lorsque les r\u00e9cits s'alignent sur les preuves, ils deviennent des catalyseurs de la transformation.<\/p>\n
