    Kick and Spice, une entreprise d'\u00e9pices aux d\u00e9buts modestes, est n\u00e9e d'un moment unique et sans pr\u00e9tention : une tasse de th\u00e9 fait maison dans un salon local. Les saveurs du th\u00e9 ont fait germer une id\u00e9e chez la fondatrice (Karimi Millicent) : partager avec le monde entier des m\u00e9langes d'\u00e9pices uniques. Au fur et \u00e0 mesure que l'entreprise se d\u00e9veloppait, la gestion des fonctions commerciales essentielles s'est av\u00e9r\u00e9e difficile. La fondatrice s'est battue avec le suivi des ventes, la gestion des clients et la tenue de dossiers financiers appropri\u00e9s.<\/p>\n

    C'est alors que le projet des centres de d\u00e9veloppement des petites entreprises du Kenya (Kenya SBDC), soutenu par l'USAID, est devenu un tournant pour l'entreprise. Lors d'un \u00e9v\u00e9nement commercial local organis\u00e9 \u00e0 D&D House dans le comt\u00e9 de Nakuru, le fondateur a rencontr\u00e9 George Makau, le coordinateur du comt\u00e9 de Nakuru pour le Kenya SBDC, qui a mis en place des services de conseil et de formation pour transformer l'entreprise.<\/p>\n

    Gr\u00e2ce au soutien cibl\u00e9 du Kenya SBDC, Karimi Millicent a acquis des comp\u00e9tences commerciales essentielles, en particulier dans les domaines de la tenue des comptes, des ventes et du marketing. L'apprentissage de la gestion des documents financiers \u00e0 l'aide d'outils tels que Microsoft Excel a permis de rationaliser l'entreprise. Le programme a \u00e9galement fourni des conseils pr\u00e9cieux sur le suivi des ventes et l'engagement plus efficace des clients, ainsi que sur les meilleures pratiques en mati\u00e8re de marketing par le biais de pr\u00e9sentations commerciales.<\/p>\n

    L'un des r\u00e9sultats les plus importants du partenariat avec le Kenya SBDC a \u00e9t\u00e9 l'\u00e9laboration d'un plan d'affaires complet, qui l'a aid\u00e9e \u00e0 naviguer dans l'environnement commercial complexe. La formation et le mentorat du Kenya SBDC lui ont permis d'acqu\u00e9rir des comp\u00e9tences techniques, telles que la photographie et la vid\u00e9ographie pour le marketing, ainsi que la confiance n\u00e9cessaire pour approcher des institutions plus importantes et poursuivre des opportunit\u00e9s de croissance.<\/p>\n

    L'entreprise a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 franchir des \u00e9tapes importantes. Kick and Spice a \u00e9t\u00e9 officiellement enregistr\u00e9, ce qui a permis \u00e0 l'entreprise de disposer d'une base juridique solide. Avec l'aide du conseiller du Kenya SBDC, la fondatrice a obtenu un emplacement physique \u00e0 Nakuru, ce qui a permis d'\u00e9largir la client\u00e8le et de fournir une plateforme plus professionnelle pour les op\u00e9rations commerciales. La participation \u00e0 des expositions commerciales a encore renforc\u00e9 la visibilit\u00e9, et le passage \u00e0 des plateformes num\u00e9riques telles que WhatsApp Business, Instagram et TikTok a ouvert de nouvelles voies pour atteindre les clients.<\/p>\n

    L'entreprise a \u00e9galement assum\u00e9 un nouveau r\u00f4le au sein de la communaut\u00e9 en tant que source fiable d'informations sur la sant\u00e9, conseillant les clients sur la mani\u00e8re dont certaines \u00e9pices peuvent aider \u00e0 g\u00e9rer des affections telles que les ulc\u00e8res, l'arthrite et le diab\u00e8te.<\/p>\n

    Pour l'avenir, le fondateur envisage que Kick and Spice \u00e9largisse sa gamme de produits pour y inclure des c\u00e9r\u00e9ales, avec des projets de cr\u00e9ation d'emplois au sein de la communaut\u00e9. \u201cLes conseils et le soutien du Kenya SBDC nous ont permis de tracer une voie claire pour l'avenir\u201d, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 le fondateur.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

    L'histoire de Kick and Spice n'est qu'un exemple de la mani\u00e8re dont le Programme de partenariat strat\u00e9gique de l'USAID, dans le cadre des Centres de d\u00e9veloppement des petites entreprises du Kenya, renforce les petites entreprises \u00e0 travers le Kenya. En mettant l'accent sur les conseils personnalis\u00e9s, le renforcement des capacit\u00e9s et la formation pratique, le programme aide les entrepreneurs \u00e0 transformer les d\u00e9fis en opportunit\u00e9s et \u00e0 cr\u00e9er des entreprises durables qui peuvent prosp\u00e9rer \u00e0 long terme.<\/p>\n
