Kenya Healthcare Federation dans le cadre du projet Driving Country Level Change, Women in Health Leadership, a organis\u00e9 la r\u00e9union de diffusion de la vall\u00e9e du Rift \u00e0 Nakuru. Cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement s'est concentr\u00e9 sur la promotion de l'\u00e9galit\u00e9 des sexes dans le leadership au sein du secteur de la sant\u00e9 kenyan, en particulier dans les comt\u00e9s de Nakuru et de Kericho.<\/p>\n<p>Angela Ndunge, chercheuse principale du projet \"Driving Country Level Change, Women in Health Leadership\", a soulign\u00e9 le besoin crucial d'interventions fond\u00e9es sur des donn\u00e9es probantes pour lever les obstacles persistants qui entravent le leadership des femmes dans les soins de sant\u00e9. Au cours de son intervention, elle a mis en \u00e9vidence des d\u00e9fis sp\u00e9cifiques, tels que le syndrome de l'imposteur, les normes culturelles enracin\u00e9es et les politiques organisationnelles restrictives qui emp\u00eachent souvent les femmes d'acc\u00e9der \u00e0 des postes de direction.<\/p>\n<p>Voici quelques-unes des principales recommandations issues de l'atelier de diffusion visant \u00e0 favoriser l'\u00e9galit\u00e9 des sexes dans le paysage du leadership en mati\u00e8re de soins de sant\u00e9 :<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cr\u00e9er des acad\u00e9mies de leadership pour les femmes.<\/strong> La cr\u00e9ation d'acad\u00e9mies sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9es dans la formation et le d\u00e9veloppement de femmes leaders dans le secteur de la sant\u00e9 a \u00e9t\u00e9 propos\u00e9e. Ces acad\u00e9mies offriraient des programmes de formation et de mentorat sur mesure afin de doter les femmes des comp\u00e9tences et de la confiance n\u00e9cessaires pour exceller dans des r\u00f4les de direction.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Renforcer les quotas de genre. <\/strong>Pour garantir une repr\u00e9sentation \u00e9quitable, la r\u00e9union a soulign\u00e9 l'importance de renforcer les quotas de femmes au sein des organismes de soins de sant\u00e9. Ces quotas pourraient contribuer \u00e0 combler le foss\u00e9 entre les sexes en garantissant un pourcentage minimum de postes de direction aux femmes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Promouvoir les alli\u00e9s masculins. <\/strong>L'engagement des hommes en tant qu'alli\u00e9s dans la qu\u00eate de l'\u00e9quit\u00e9 entre les sexes a \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 soulign\u00e9. L'implication des coll\u00e8gues masculins dans le soutien et la d\u00e9fense du leadership des femmes est cruciale pour d\u00e9manteler les pr\u00e9jug\u00e9s sexistes et cr\u00e9er des environnements inclusifs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Incorporer une formation au leadership sensible au genre. <\/strong>Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 recommand\u00e9 d'int\u00e9grer une formation sensible au genre dans les programmes existants de d\u00e9veloppement du leadership afin de sensibiliser les dirigeants et de leur fournir les outils n\u00e9cessaires pour g\u00e9rer efficacement la diversit\u00e9 des genres.<\/p>\n<p>Les discussions ont \u00e9galement port\u00e9 sur l'importance de la planification de la succession, du renforcement des capacit\u00e9s et de la cr\u00e9ation d'environnements favorables \u00e0 l'\u00e9panouissement des femmes dirigeantes. Roselyn Mungai, CEC pour la sant\u00e9 du comt\u00e9 de Nakuru, et Brenda Bill-Bii, CEC du comt\u00e9 de Kericho, ont partag\u00e9 leurs points de vue sur les d\u00e9fis uniques auxquels sont confront\u00e9es les femmes qui occupent des postes de direction dans le secteur de la sant\u00e9. Malgr\u00e9 ces d\u00e9fis, elles ont soulign\u00e9 qu'avec les bonnes strat\u00e9gies et un r\u00e9seau de soutien, les femmes peuvent surmonter les obstacles et contribuer de mani\u00e8re significative \u00e0 la croissance du secteur.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>L'appel lanc\u00e9 aux femmes dirigeantes pour qu'elles assument pleinement leur r\u00f4le a \u00e9t\u00e9 l'un des principaux enseignements de la r\u00e9union. Comme l'a soulign\u00e9 l'un des orateurs : <em>\u201cLorsque vous \u00eates invit\u00e9 \u00e0 la table, occupez-la pleinement, corps et esprit. La fa\u00e7on dont vous vous pr\u00e9sentez est importante.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>\u00c0 propos du projet \"Driving Country Level Change, Women in Health Leadership Project<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>L'objectif global du projet est de favoriser le changement organisationnel en ce qui concerne l'avancement professionnel des femmes occupant des postes de direction dans le secteur de la sant\u00e9 au Kenya. Le projet cherche \u00e0 comprendre dans quelle mesure les facteurs contextuels dans le domaine organisationnel, c'est-\u00e0-dire les politiques, le leadership, la culture et la structure, limitent ou favorisent l'avancement des femmes \u00e0 des postes de direction de niveau interm\u00e9diaire ou sup\u00e9rieur.
