lanc\u00e9 dans un important projet du gouvernement du Kenya (GoK), dirig\u00e9 par le chef de cabinet de HOPS, afin de r\u00e9viser les politiques nationales de 15 minist\u00e8res. Cet effort vise \u00e0 aligner ces politiques sur une approche int\u00e9gr\u00e9e de la gestion des \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes prioritaires, servant de base \u00e0 une gestion durable des ressources naturelles.<\/p>\n<p>Pour lancer cet ambitieux projet, une r\u00e9union initiale a \u00e9t\u00e9 organis\u00e9e \u00e0 la Strathmore Business School (SBS), r\u00e9unissant les principales parties prenantes, notamment le gouvernement du Kenya, The Nature Conservancy et la SHNC. La r\u00e9union a \u00e9t\u00e9 dirig\u00e9e par Silvia Museiya, secr\u00e9taire principale du d\u00e9partement d'\u00c9tat charg\u00e9 de la faune et de la flore, soulignant ainsi l'engagement de haut niveau en faveur de cette initiative.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>L'\u00e9quipe de l'universit\u00e9 de Strathmore (SU), compos\u00e9e de 12 chercheurs universitaires, de 4 conseillers principaux, d'une \u00e9quipe technique de 6 personnes et de chercheurs de troisi\u00e8me cycle du programme de politique publique et de gestion de Strathmore, est charg\u00e9e d'\u00e9laborer une politique int\u00e9gr\u00e9e de conservation des ressources naturelles bas\u00e9e sur les \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes (IENRCP). Cette politique se concentrera sur les \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes critiques, \u00e0 la biodiversit\u00e9 identifi\u00e9e, qui abritent la majeure partie de la faune et des ressources naturelles essentielles du Kenya.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Le projet repr\u00e9sente un changement de paradigme vers une conservation bas\u00e9e sur l'\u00e9cosyst\u00e8me, pla\u00e7ant les communaut\u00e9s locales - qui occupent plus de 65% des zones abritant la biodiversit\u00e9 la plus riche du Kenya - au c\u0153ur de la gestion des ressources naturelles. L'IENRCP mettra l'accent sur le r\u00f4le vital des terres communautaires dans les efforts de conservation, aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s des entit\u00e9s publiques et priv\u00e9es, afin de promouvoir le d\u00e9veloppement durable pour tous.<\/p>\n<p>Cette approche int\u00e9gr\u00e9e refl\u00e8te un engagement \u00e0 sauvegarder les \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes du Kenya tout en veillant \u00e0 ce que l'utilisation des ressources naturelles soit durable et profite \u00e0 la fois aux communaut\u00e9s locales et \u00e0 l'int\u00e9r\u00eat national au sens large. La collaboration entre la SHNC, le gouvernement k\u00e9nyan et les principaux partenaires marque une \u00e9tape cruciale dans les efforts de conservation du Kenya.<\/p>\n<p>Le Strathmore Natural Capital Hub (SNCH) est un centre de synth\u00e8se transdisciplinaire pionnier qui se consacre \u00e0 l'avancement des connaissances et \u00e0 l'apprentissage par l'exp\u00e9rience dans le domaine du capital naturel. \u00c0 une \u00e9poque o\u00f9 les d\u00e9fis mondiaux exigent un leadership extraordinaire, le SNCH est \u00e0 l'avant-garde, guidant les gouvernements, les entreprises et les citoyens \u00e0 reconna\u00eetre et \u00e0 int\u00e9grer la valeur essentielle du capital naturel de notre plan\u00e8te dans leurs processus de prise de d\u00e9cision.  En favorisant une compr\u00e9hension approfondie de ces domaines critiques, la SNCH vise \u00e0 promouvoir des pratiques durables qui garantissent la pr\u00e9servation et l'am\u00e9lioration des ressources naturelles pour les g\u00e9n\u00e9rations futures.
