    Gathered under the soft glow of evening lights, amidst the clinking of glasses and warm friendship, the MBA for Executives Programme, class of 2022, came together for a night of celebration and reflection. It was a time of celebration, marking the completion of coursework and the beginning of a new phase in their MBA journey – the dissertation. As the evening unfolded, inspiring speeches and insightful reflections were shared, setting the tone for the next chapter of their professional and personal growth.<\/p>\n

    The networking dinner served not only as a tribute to their accomplishments but also as a reminder of the transformative journey that lies ahead. With inspiring speeches, insightful reflections, and shared aspirations, the evening was a testament to the collective spirit of growth, resilience, and ambition that defines the MBA experience at Strathmore University.<\/p>\n

    Dr. Stella Nyongesa, the Director of Graduate Programmes at Strathmore University Business School (SBS), set the stage with a powerful message urging the students to be change agents in all their endeavors. She emphasized the importance of leaving a positive mark on those around them, reminding them that their actions have the power to bring smiles to others.<\/p>\n

    Dr. Mathuva, the Associate Dean of Academic and Student Affairs at SBS, congratulated the students on reaching this significant milestone. He encouraged them to reflect on what they have gained from the past two years and reminded them that the journey of learning continues beyond the classroom. Dr. Mathuva emphasized the importance of community and collaboration, urging the students to continue walking this transformative journey together.<\/p>\n

    Dr. Caesar Mwangi, Executive Dean, SBS, passionately spoke about the commitment that the Business School has developing great African leaders for Africa. He noted that each person has a purpose, and it is important for all to live up to their purpose and live it to the best.\u00a0 When introducing the guest speaker, Mr. Peter Karoki, Founder and CEO of Woodcreek School and a serial entrepreneur, Dr. Mwangi highlighted that Mr. Karoki was an embodiment of true African transformation.<\/p>\n

    The keynote speaker for the evening, Mr. Peter Karoki, an alumnus of the MBA for Executives Programme from the Class of 2008 shared his personal journey and insights gained from the Programme. The MBA Programme gave me flexibility of thinking.<\/p>\n

    Sharing his entrepreneurial experience, Mr. Karoki, a serial entrepreneur, noted that when entrepreneurship is done the right way, it yields great rewards. I was among one of the first people to automate my motor vehicle spares business on Kirinyaga Road and most of my fellow businessmen thought I was crazy since this meant I was in the radar of the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA). This step in automating my business allowed to grow my business to heights. I was even able to buy a building and open another shop, even bigger than the first one,\u201d Mr Karoki noted. \u201cAll the insights I picked from my MBA class, I applied to my business,\u201d Mr. Karoki said.<\/p>\n

    In giving his experience of business be it in the motor spaces, in real estate and the education sector, Mr. Karoki left the students with a very important lesson on African excellence. We need to believe that as Africans, we can also be the best, we can deliver the best!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

    As the evening concluded, it was evident that the MBA for Executives Programme is not just about acquiring knowledge but about transforming individuals into visionary leaders who will make a positive impact on society. The networking dinner served as a reminder of the journey ahead, filled with opportunities for growth, innovation, and making a difference in the world.<\/p>\n
