train\u00a0entrepreneurs\u00a0in the\u00a0Enterprise Development Programme, and Wednesday, 17<sup>th<\/sup> January 2024 marked the culmination of this Programme as we graduated more than 40 entrepreneurs in a colorful ceremony.<br \/>\nThe Enterprise Development Programme is a 16-week enterprise development course that is tailored to meet and solve some of the needs and challenges SMEs face. This course is hands-on, and participant centered. Using locally developed business case studies, participants are engaged in discussions enabling them to develop problem-solving and good decision-making skills.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking during the graduation ceremony, Dr.\u00a0Majid Twahir, Associate Dean, Research, and Innovation at\u00a0Strathmore Business School (SBS)\u00a0emphasized the commitment that Strathmore University has to empowering entrepreneurs. &#8220;At\u00a0Strathmore University\u00a0we are an entrepreneurial university, deeply committed to nurturing the growth of\u00a0SMEs. Our focus on SMEs aligns with their pivotal role in sustaining households, fostering innovation, and being prolific sources of employment,&#8221; Dr. Majid noted.<\/p>\n<p>Tirus Mwithiga, NCBA Group Director of Retail Business Banking, applauded the participants for their grit during the Programme. &#8220;Your determination shaped today&#8217;s success. Armed with new skills, you&#8217;re set for greater heights,&#8221; Tirus noted.<\/p>\n<p>The event saw SBS and NCBA Bank expand their partnership to cover training discounts on the Owner Manager Programme for NCBA Bank customers. Speaking during the\u00a0#MoU signing,\u00a0Tirus Mwithiga\u00a0noted\u00a0NCBA Group&#8217;s commitment to partnering with\u00a0Strathmore Business School (SBS). &#8220;We&#8217;re expanding our support beyond SMEs and today we are thrilled to enhance our partnership with SBS Kenya for the Owner Manager Programme (OMP),&#8221; Tirus noted.<br \/>\nDr. Majid Twahir\u00a0on the other hand emphasized the importance of this partnership in working towards our vision of\u00a0developing great African leaders. &#8220;Through this partnership, we will be able to continue\u00a0developing great African entrepreneurs\u00a0for Kenya and beyond.
