Renforcement des capacit\u00e9s en mati\u00e8re de leadership climatique en Afrique<\/strong><\/h1>\n

La semaine derni\u00e8re, nous avons form\u00e9 le premier groupe de participants au Climate Leadership Executive Programme. Les participants provenaient de diff\u00e9rents secteurs du Kenya et d'ailleurs. Les sujets abord\u00e9s comprenaient le financement du changement climatique, l'action climatique, le changement climatique et le renforcement de la r\u00e9silience. Les n\u00e9gociations sur le changement climatique, l'impact des risques climatiques et les vuln\u00e9rabilit\u00e9s en Afrique ont \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 abord\u00e9s.<\/p>\n

Le changement climatique est l'une des plus grandes menaces pour le d\u00e9veloppement durable dans le monde. Ses effets g\u00e9n\u00e9ralis\u00e9s et sans pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent p\u00e8sent de mani\u00e8re disproportionn\u00e9e sur les pays les plus pauvres et les plus vuln\u00e9rables, dont beaucoup se trouvent en Afrique subsaharienne.<\/p>\n

Les principales r\u00e9ponses politiques mondiales au changement climatique sont couvertes par la Convention-cadre des Nations unies sur les changements climatiques (CCNUCC), les objectifs de d\u00e9veloppement durable (ODD) et le cadre de Sendai pour la r\u00e9duction des risques de catastrophe (RRC). Ensemble, ces cadres constituent le fondement de voies de d\u00e9veloppement durables, \u00e0 faible \u00e9mission de carbone et r\u00e9silientes au changement climatique, qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 le moins mises en \u0153uvre en Afrique. La poursuite de l'action climatique en Afrique par le renforcement des capacit\u00e9s en mati\u00e8re de leadership climatique offre une approche int\u00e9gr\u00e9e, coh\u00e9rente et la plus solide pour permettre aux pays africains d'atteindre leurs objectifs de mani\u00e8re efficace.<\/p>\n

Le Programme ex\u00e9cutif de leadership climatique est con\u00e7u pour cr\u00e9er une masse critique de leaders climatiques en Afrique afin de s'engager efficacement dans les actions nationales, r\u00e9gionales et internationales de lutte contre le changement climatique et dans le discours sur la politique climatique, acc\u00e9l\u00e9rant ainsi la transformation de la politique de lutte contre le changement climatique en action.
