This webinar will bring together Catholic sisters from five countries who are actively engaged in agriculture to address the urgent challenges posed by El Niño. With impacts already evident in key food-producing areas and essential energy systems, the session will focus on equipping participants with practical strategies to safeguard food security, strengthen climate resilience, and sustain livelihoods.

Through shared experiences, expert insights, and collaborative dialogue, participants will explore actionable steps to mitigate risks and enhance the sustainability of sister-led agricultural initiatives. The discussions will be organized around six key thematic areas:

  1. Water & Infrastructure Management – Ensuring reliable access and resilience of critical systems.
  2. Crop Selection & Field Practices – Adapting planting choices and techniques to changing conditions.
  3. Livestock Health & Feed Reserves – Protecting animal well-being and securing feed supplies.
  4. Post-Harvest Protection & Quality – Safeguarding yields and maintaining standards.
  5. Early Action & Advisory Tools – Leveraging timely information and guidance for proactive measures.
  6. Disaster Risk Reduction at Personal /Household Level – Strengthening preparedness and resilience within communities.
