Felix Mogesa
Doctoral Fellow in Supply Chain and Operations Management and Information Systems

Mr Felix Mogesa holds a Bcom and MBA from the University of Nairobi and is a member of the Chartered institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS)-UK and the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM).

At Strathmore University Business School teaches and participates in curriculum development in Supply Chain, Logistics and Operations Management courses as well as the integration of Information Systems/Quantitative methods in management operations and the supply chain. He also incorporates various software in accounting and enterprise resource planning (ERP) in the course and is the contact for collaboration with SAP in the Enterprise Systems for Africa (ESEFA) educational use software collaboration for the Business School. He has previously worked for General Motors Kenya Ltd (now Isuzu (EA) Ltd), Total (K) Ltd, Phoenix of East Africa Assurance Co Ltd, among others.

Mr Mogesa has trained business executives for over 10 years in operational excellence mainly through use of simulation of work environments to elaborate on managing business processes with an emphasis on visualization of end-to-end processes, cultivating the culture of continuous improvement and bring out team spirit. Mr Mogesa has trained executives in the East African region in particular in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda in these spheres. Some of the Corporate clients trained include: Safaricom, UAP Provincial, Isuzu, National Bank, KCB (Rwanda), Bank of Uganda, NSSF-Uganda. Some of the management groups trained include Program for Management Development (PMD), Owner Manager Program (OMP), Senior Manager Leadership Program (SMLP), Master’s in Business Admistration (MBA).

Mr Mogesa is enrolled in the SBS PhD in Management programme specializing in Supply Chain, Operations and Logistics management. His research interests are in the utilization of Information and Communication technologies to enhance supply chain management in various sectors such as agriculture and health.

Mr Mogesa has a passion for mentoring students and facilitating linkages with industry for students so that the students can be better prepared for the job market and life in general. He also is keen on family and development of families and is involved in family development courses offered by Family Network International and Programme for Family Development.
