Overview
The Agribusiness Module, running from February 3 to 10, 2025, equips participants with essential skills for thriving in international agribusiness. Attendees will learn to design effective export strategies, produce and market products tailored to global consumer preferences, and analyze consumer behavior for targeted marketing.
The program emphasizes building cross-cultural partnerships, navigating distribution channels, and leveraging institutional support for Kenyan exporters in Europe. Participants will also gain insights into advanced production methods and enjoy a visit to Fruit Logistica, a leading trade fair. The cost covers accommodation, airfare, meals, transportation, and coordination, providing a comprehensive learning experience in the global agribusiness landscape.
Learning Outcomes
- Gain valuable insights into international agribusiness and understand the key business practices necessary to design effective export strategies for global markets.
- Understand the critical success factors in global agribusiness markets and learn strategies, concepts, and techniques to develop successfully participate in these markets
- Learn how to develop and leverage cross-cultural partnerships to establish strong relationships with international buyers
- Become familiar with various on- and offline distribution channels for agribusiness products and understand how to access them for maximum market penetration.
- Learn about the institutional support available to Kenyan exporters to Europe, including insights from Kenyan embassies and local European institutions.
- Gain understanding of managing global agribusiness supply chains sustainability and learn to manage the tension between sustainability and economic fundamentals
- Experience an exclusive visit to Fruit Logistica, one of the world’s leading trade fairs for the fresh produce industry.
The Cost covers
- 5 nights’ accommodation (bed & breakfast) in 3-star accommodation in Berlin.
- Return air ticket (Economy class).
- Entrance fees to Fruit Logistica Expo.
- Return airport transfers and ground transportation according to the itinerary.
