Introduction

The advent of technology disrupted the traditional ways of doing things, and education was not different. With the development of new technologies, it became obvious that technology could improve the learning experience in schools, universities but also corporations. Digital learning enables participants to develop effective self-directed learning skills.

The idea of Digital Learning is to make trainings more efficient and to improve the learning experience of learners using the latest tools. The goal is not to entirely abandon classical training but rather to enhance it using technology, thus the emphasis on blended learning.

Blended Learning at Strathmore combines both the online interphase and face-to-face interactions with the faculty and fellow course participants in an environment that enhances critical thinking skills, which are the basis for the development of analytic reasoning.

The current programme on Leadership in Financial Inclusion is a series of digital learning courses that are aimed at developing the person in a holistic manner, starting with the journey of authentic self-awareness to self-Mastery, all the way to leading teams effectively.

Current Digital Learning Courses include:

  • The Journey of Authentic Self-Awareness to Self-Mastery
  • Virtuous Leadership
  • Emotional Intelligence
  • Effective Team Leadership
