SUMMARY:Women Rise and Lead Forum
DESCRIPTION:Overview\nIn the last few years Africa has recorded some progress in the representation of women at the board and executive committee level in the private sector\, this is according to a report by McKinsey. These research findings provide some hope as we continue creating awareness around the benefits of gender diversity and inclusion in organizations. The challenge however remains in the representation of women in the middle and senior management level. Research has shown that at entry level through to senior management female talent is lost along the way\, a phenomenon known as “Leaking Pipeline Syndrome”.  The result of this syndrome is under representation of women at management levels. \nQuestions to Ponder\nThis is of course dependent on the industry. The questions that we need to ask ourselves are; \n\nWhat causes this loss of female talent?\nHow can organizations address this challenge?\n\nJoin us at Strathmore Global Institute as we celebrate this year’s International Women’s Day and reflect on this year’s theme of #Inspire Inclusion. The International Women’s Day provides an opportunity to reflect and celebrate the holistic contribution of women at a global scale. We have put together a group of inspiring speakers from diverse backgrounds who will delve deeper into this year’s theme as they share their career journeys – their successes and challenges. \n\n\n \n \n SGI Women's Events - Registration Form\n \n Name*\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n Select Country*TanzaniaPhone Number*Email Address*\n \n This field is hidden when viewing the formMode of AttendanceIn-personOnlineCompany Name*Title/ Position*Business Sector/ Industry*Accounting/FinanceAdvertising/Public RelationsAerospace/AviationArts/Entertainment/PublishingAutomotiveBanking/MortgageBusiness DevelopmentBusiness OpportunityClerical/AdministrativeConstruction/FacilitiesConsumer GoodsCustomer ServiceEducation/TrainingEnergy/UtilitiesEngineeringGovernment/MilitaryGreenHealthcareHospitality/TravelHuman ResourcesInstallation/MaintenanceInsuranceInternetJob Search AidsLaw Enforcement/SecurityLegalManagement/ExecutiveManufacturing/OperationsMarketingNon-Profit/VolunteerPharmaceutical/BiotechProfessional ServicesQA/Quality ControlReal EstateRestaurant/Food ServiceRetailSalesScience/ResearchSkilled LaborTechnologyTelecommunicationsTransportation/LogisticsOtherYour expectations for the event*Which topics would you like us to handle in future events?Would you like to subscribe to our weekly Newsletter (SBS At a Glance)?*\n \n \n Yes\n \n \n \n No\n Consent* I agree to the privacy policy.https://sbs.strathmore.edu/privacy-policy/CAPTCHA\n Save and Continue Later
