East Africa Health Expo 2023

The aim of this event is to showcase East Africa as a center for Health Innovation and knowledge sharing, specifically this year, on the interrelated and inter-dependency of various sectors in their impact on health.

Themes

The overall theme of the Expo shall be “Creating linkages for Improved Health”. This is informed by the fact that the health-related SDG (SDG3) has linkages with all other SDGs.

The Expo shall aim at highlighting a few of this critical areas by having sub-themes for each half day on the following:

1. ICT and Health
2. Health and Governance
3. Health and Gender
4. Health and family well-being (including mental health)

One-health approach

Participants:

East African Hospitals, Research institutions, Health Innovators health tourism agencies, Global medical tourism agencies, NGOs in Health, Faith Based Institutions, insurance companies, specialists (Doctors), health sector investors, and general public visitors within the scope of Medical Tourism.

The event serves two different categories of visitors:

1) General Public Visitors

The Expo is open to the public for the duration of the event. The entry fees for individual participants is KES 3,000. This will grant participants a chance to get in touch with about 100 leading, certified, reliable hospitals, clinics, and medical tourism agencies of East Africa face to face in one location.

2) Professional Visitor

1. a) Expo Visitors

Professional visitors such as doctors, health tourism agencies, travel agencies, tour operators, insurance companies, health care professionals, pharmacists, academicians, investors, associations & foundations, beauty centers, consultancy firms and assistance companies are granted a cost of KES 3000 entry pass, which allows them to have access to the Expo for the duration of the event. During this event, the visitors get the opportunity to have access to the stands of East African hospitals, clinics, medical tourism agencies and more, in order to make the necessary business connections and network.

1. b) B2B Participants

Only companies that are sent a private invitation by Strathmore University Business School and The Kenya Healthcare Federation are granted access to the B2B Meetings and Exhibitions. The B2B meetings are made in order to create lasting relationships between East African professionals. B2B Participants also have access to the conferences, International Networking Cocktail Reception as well as the Expo itself.
