    On Tuesday, 30th<\/sup> January 2024, we hosted the Annual Strathmore Global Institute MSME & Social Enterprise Conference 2024 at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel, Kampala<\/p>\n

    Organized in collaboration with the\u00a0Sisters Blended Value Project, the conference brought together more than 100 entrepreneurs from across diverse business sectors in\u00a0Uganda, key stakeholders in the\u00a0financial services\u00a0sector as well as\u00a0catholic sisters\u00a0representing various congregations, at the forefront of impactful social enterprises. This added a unique dimension to the event.<\/p>\n

    In her opening remarks, Dr.\u00a0Elizabeth Gachenga, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academic & Student Affairs at\u00a0Strathmore University, passionately advised\u00a0MSMEs\u00a0and\u00a0social enterprises\u00a0to transcend reliance on bootstrapping for funding. She urged exploration of sustainable alternatives, setting the tone for a forward-thinking discourse.<\/p>\n

    During the keynote address, Dr.\u00a0Dr. Edward Isingoma Matsiko, Managing Partner at\u00a0Pearl Capital Partners\u00a0emphasized the imperative for MSMEs and SEs to strategically organize themselves. Aligning their interests with robust business models, he noted, is the cornerstone for ensuring success in today’s ever-evolving business landscape.<\/p>\n

    This conference served not only as a knowledge-sharing platform but also as a nexus for collaboration and networking, fostering a dynamic ecosystem for the growth and sustainability of MSMEs and Social Enterprises.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
