Hilton funded Sisters\u2019 Blended Value Project, Strathmore University Business School (SBS) hosted a two-day faculty training workshop aimed at streamlining the delivery of the content across four countries; Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia.<\/p>\n<p>As one of the four pillars of the project, capacity building is integral to the success of the programmes and the mode in which content is delivered to participants, most importantly accuracy and uniformity, ensuring all participants receive similar information to grow their social enterprises. Furthermore, to measure the success of the capacity building, materials and mode of delivery must be streamlined to accurately assess the participants\u2019 progress.<\/p>\n<p>The Project Management Programme saw over 100 participants from Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia from several congregations successfully complete the programme. In preparation for the first cohort of the Social Enterprise Programme, there was a need to host a workshop to help trainers align their content for dissemination to incoming trainers in the project.<\/p>\n<p>The content for the modules included: negotiation skills, creating shared value through effective social enterprise management, financial literacy, human resources management, among others.<\/p>\n<p>These modules are designed to achieve the wider goals of the project and to serve the sisters in their social ministries as they strive to honour their charisms.<\/p>\n<p>The Social Enterprise Programme (Start-Up) is set to begin on 25th of April 2022, shortly before the Conrad N. Hilton Vice President Site Visit and the official launch of the Sisters\u2019 Blended Value Project on the 27th of April 2022.<\/p>\n<p>The Sisters\u2019 Blended Value Project focuses on supporting Catholic Sisters to build sustainable social enterprises through developing capacities, supporting networks and information hubs and building robust financial services.
