Introduction

On 21st March 2018, 44 Africa member state countries signed the Africa Free Trade Area agreement, bringing together an estimated 1.2 billion people with a combined gross domestic product of more than USD$ 2 trillion. The draft agreement commits countries to removing tariffs on 90% of goods. This momentous milestone, illustrates a positive trajectory towards making intra – African trade attractive and affordable.

It is against this backdrop, that our seasoned panel of experts during the July webinar series will discuss and engage entrepreneurs and business leaders on the present and future opportunities available across East Africa; gaining insights on how to upscale their business operation across the region and in other African Regional trading blocs through fostering inter African trade.
