Several logistics issues are known to impede commerce and trade between sub-Saharan African countries and the rest of the world. Studies have shown that poor road, rail and harbor infrastructure adds 30-40% to the costs of goods traded among African countries. The solution calls for a triple helix approach (academia, government & industry), which will unlock the potential of market forces to offer highly effective and sustainable solutions.

Strathmore University, in collaboration with the Kuehne Foundation, would be holding a 2 day training on International Freight Operations Management targeting managers involved in transport and logistics in all sectors of the economy.
