Is it possible for an organization to know how much real impact its work has in the society?Impact evaluation is becoming an important tool in both the public and private sectors. Government and donors are increasingly tying funding to evidence of real impact. Non-profit and for-profit organizations are also becoming progressively aware of the need for impact measurement to inform and guide decision-making, strategic planning, accessing funding and to leverage public support. Despite this, many organizations do not have the capacity to measure their social impact. The Measurement Social Impact training will equip participants with the methodological framework and tools to successfully design and measure the social impact of their programs.
Participants will learn how to design, conduct and report social impact evaluations. The training provides:
Better understanding of social impact and why measure it
Understanding of the relationship between M&E and impact assessment
Presenting the business case for social impact evaluation (strategic planning, efficient resource use, and accessing funding)
Selecting what needs to be measured and how to measure it (indicators)
Methodology: learn a social impact measurement tool
