Our Mission
The Strathmore Center for Business and Financial Journalism is devoted to creating and supporting transformational advancements in journalism and communication that will enhance better financial reporting and more informed public and enrich the economic lives of the society.
The center focuses on executive training of journalists, research and supporting organizations on empowering communities. This is to be achieved by fostering a culture of data-driven reporting and advanced investigative reporting.

About the Centre
The Strathmore Center for Business Journalism is an invention of Strathmore Business School. It was created to bridge the ever increasing gap in data driven journalism and more informed financial reporting in the continent’s media sector.
The Center will
- Promote quality journalism by developing programs, projects, and research to support opportunities, action, and outcomes for journalist.
- Provide forums for discussion, debate and exchange of views and experiences for journalists, editors, media executive and other media professionals.
- Inspire new, transformative ideas in an ever-changing media landscape.
- Catalyze collaboration and partnerships with the academy, communities, and communications industries.
- Create and support networks among media professionals within the continent.
